Tamsons Legal Services can assist with applications to enter or remain in the UK as the husband, wife or civil partner of a British citizen or someone who is settled here.

Applicants generally need to show that their partner is settled in the UK or returning with them to live permanently; that the marriage or civil partnership is legally recognised; that they intend to live together permanently; and that they meet applicable financial, accommodation and English-language requirements, unless an exemption applies.

Some people already in the UK may be eligible to switch into this category, depending on their current immigration permission and circumstances. We can help identify the appropriate route and supporting evidence.
