If an application for entry clearance or leave to remain is unsuccessful, Tamsons Legal Services may be able to assist with an appeal against a decision by an Entry Clearance Officer or the Secretary of State and represent clients before the First-tier Tribunal or Upper Tribunal.

The refusal notice should explain the reasons for the decision and whether there is a right of appeal, administrative review or another remedy. Strict time limits may apply, and these vary according to where the applicant is and the type of decision.
